The surface morphology and characteristics of a PV panel’s surface have been recently enhanced using multifunctional thin films or coatings to improve their cleanness, anti-reflection, and energy transmittance properties. However, durability is an open issue. We are committed to developing cutting-edge in-housed polymer graft modification and encapsulation technologies induced by core-shell nanoparticles with multiple shapes and sizes, which can be widely applied to facilitate the commercialization of novel self-cleaning with super wetting,high-efficiency photocatalysis,anti-reflection, long-lasting for sustainable PV panels. In contrast to commercial coating, this technique supports a unique inorganic micro-nano hierarchical structure via core-shell porous nanoparticles while maintaining high transparency and promoting superior adhesion between in-house synthesized functional organic components and coated substrates for high photocatalysis, outstanding anti-reflection, and weathering-resistant abilities. This coating can also be applied to various buildings and related glazing surfaces. Up to now, this nano-coating has been commercialized and piloted applied on thousands of square meters, such as in Hong Kong Disneyland. The test results show that it can increase relatively the power generation of PV modules by at least 15%-20%. |
